The Malpe Police arrested three men and recovered gold worthRs₹6 lakh after they allegedly assaulted a fish trader in Shankarapura, Kurkalu village on Friday, February 21.
Rapid Action by Police
The accused were apprehended within four hours of the theft. Police reported that the men stole a gold chain valued at Rs3.5 lakh from the trader.

The arrested individuals are:
Anand alias Hasansab Amingad (49) – Joida taluk, Uttara Kannada
Kiran Dharmaraj Godimani (19) – Haliyal taluk, Uttara Kannada
Shashidhar (19) – Haliyal taluk, Uttara Kannada
Authorities confirmed that the stolen gold was recovered during the arrests, and further investigation into the case is ongoing.
