Bijendra Arrested in Gurugram Bus Jewellery Theft

One Suspect Nabbed, Two Still at Large

The Gurugram Police have arrested Bijendra alias Munna, a resident of Balamb village in Rohtak district, for allegedly stealing jewellery from a bag aboard a moving bus.

Incident Details

The victim, a resident of Pune, was travelling with his family to Bawal, Rewari district for a wedding. Three men boarded the bus at Rajiv Chowk, Gurugram, and as the bus approached Narsinghpur Flyover, one of the men allegedly stole a gold mangalsutra and a pair of gold earrings from a jewellery box kept inside the victim’s bag.

The theft was noticed by the victim’s daughter, who raised an alarm. The three accused immediately fled, but Bijendra was apprehended, while the other two remain at large.

Police Action

Following the complaint, an FIR was registered at Sector 37 Police Station, and the accused was taken into custody. Police are continuing efforts to trace and apprehend the remaining accomplices.
