PULASKI COUNTY, Ky. — Two people were arrested following a long-term drug trafficking investigation in Pulaski County, according to Sheriff Bobby Jones.
Robert Conley, 45, of Lexington, and Tiffany Helton, 43, of Somerset, were taken into custody after deputies discovered 155 grams of methamphetamine, approximately 31.6 grams of fentanyl, and a loaded .40-caliber pistol inside Conley’s vehicle.
Sheriff Jones said the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division began investigating a suspected drug syndicate in late 2025 after receiving information that large quantities of methamphetamine were being supplied to Pulaski County from Lexington.
Deputies later received intelligence that Conley, identified as the source of the supply, would be traveling to Pulaski County to deliver methamphetamine. Officers followed the suspect vehicle and detained Conley and Helton after they parked and exited the car.
A K-9 unit conducted a free-air sniff of the vehicle and alerted deputies to the presence of illegal narcotics on the passenger side. Conley was arrested at the scene, and Helton was later identified as a co-conspirator and taken into custody.
Conley was charged with parole violation, distribution of 50 grams or more of a methamphetamine mixture, and conspiracy to distribute 50 grams or more of a methamphetamine mixture.
Helton was charged with distribution of 50 grams or more of a methamphetamine mixture and conspiracy to distribute 50 grams or more of a methamphetamine mixture.
Sheriff Jones said the distribution and conspiracy charges stem from federal indictments, and additional charges are expected as the investigation continues.
