Saligao Police have arrested Sunil (48), a resident of Mapusa, in connection with a scooter theft case reported from Porvorim. The case was filed by Ayyan Khan, who reported that his Honda Aviator (GA-08-AM-8647) was stolen from near RG Hospital between January 31 and February 2.
During the investigation, police recovered the stolen scooter along with six other vehicles, many of which were damaged or in non-operational condition. Several of the recovered two-wheelers had been reported stolen from other police stations in the region.
The investigation was led by PSI Sarvesh Bhandari under the supervision of PI Milind Bhuimbar of Saligao Police Station. Police continue to probe if Sunil was part of a larger vehicle theft network.
