Gurgaon police are continuing their search for three men involved in the abduction, torture, and sexual assault of five boys in Nathupur, following the arrest of two suspects on Wednesday.
The five boys, aged 10 to 13, were taken from an under-construction site in DLF Phase 3 on Monday morning after the suspects accused them of stealing construction materials. Police said the children were confined for over 15 hours at a nearby paying guest accommodation managed by one of the suspects’ associates.
The boys were released late Monday night after three mothers located them and pleaded with the accused for nearly five hours. Police reported that the suspects also forced the women to sit with the children and subjected them to abuse.
A complaint filed by one mother detailed horrific assaults, including stripping, sexual abuse, and burns inflicted with hot spoons. The accused allegedly poured petrol on the children’s private parts.
An FIR was registered on Tuesday at DLF Phase 3 police station under multiple sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, covering aggravated sexual assault, wrongful confinement, criminal intimidation, and other charges.
The arrested men are identified as Harendra, 35, a flour mill operator and property dealer in Gurgaon, and Firoz, 26, a utensil shop owner from Uttar Pradesh. During questioning, the suspects admitted to gathering near the construction site to smoke hookah and discuss theft incidents. Police said one arrested man was supervising the building’s construction, while others were present as workers or associates.
Medical examinations of the children have been completed, and statements are being recorded. Police are reviewing CCTV footage and questioning locals to locate and apprehend the remaining three suspects.
