Coimbatore Police Arrest Five in Meth Seizure Case

130 Grams of Synthetic Drug Recovered from Vehicle

Coimbatore City Police’s Prohibition Enforcement Wing (PEW) arrested five individuals on Friday for possession of 130 grams of methamphetamine, a synthetic drug.

Acting on specific intelligence, the PEW team intercepted a car around 3 p.m. in the city. The vehicle was being travelled by Ajay, Manikandan, Visagan, Abbas, and Dhanush. Upon searching the vehicle, police recovered 130 grams of the synthetic drug methamphetamine.

Authorities have registered a case and are investigating the source of the drugs as well as potential links to larger narcotics networks operating in the region.
