Ayodhya, UP: The Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (UP STF) arrested two long-absconding and reward-carrying criminals, Haseeb and Naseeb, on February 2 around 7 am from the jurisdiction of Kotwali Bikapur police station in Ayodhya.
The duo, sons of Ayoob and residents of Raipur, Police Station Seramau North, Pilibhit, were wanted in multiple serious criminal cases, including murder, robbery, conspiracy, and large-scale financial fraud. Both carried rewards of Rs 1 lakh each for cases under Sections 302, 201, 394, 412, and 120-B of the IPC. They were also wanted in Pilibhit in cases under Sections 406, 420, 467, 468, and 174-A IPC, carrying a reward of Rs 25,000 each.
During the arrest, STF teams recovered two forged Aadhaar cards in the names of Sameer Khan and Rehan Khan from Indore, one forged PAN card, and two mobile phones from the accused.
The arrest is considered a significant success in tracking down wanted criminals involved in organized crime and financial fraud, and further investigation is ongoing.
