In a swift action, Bahadurpally police in Dundigal arrested Ganganamoni Anvesh Kumar (20) and Mayur Ashol Mewada (46) for their involvement in a series of laptop thefts from paying guest (PG) hostels.
Police recovered seven laptops worth approximately Rs3.50 lakh from the accused. Preliminary investigations indicate that Anvesh Kumar executed the thefts, while Mayur Mewada acted as the receiver of the stolen laptops. Authorities are probing further to determine if there are additional accomplices or stolen items connected to the duo.
The arrests are part of a concerted effort by local law enforcement to curb property crimes targeting residents in the Dundigal area.
