The Sector 19 Crime Branch of Panchkula police has arrested a habitual burglar, identified as Rohit, alias Vinodi, a resident of Rajiv Colony, Sector 17, Panchkula, officials said.
During interrogation, police discovered two additional theft cases linked to the accused. Authorities recovered gold and silver jewellery worth Rs 5 lakh from him. Rohit was sent to judicial custody.
The accused admitted to committing thefts at two different locations last year, highlighting a pattern of breaking into locked houses in the area. Police continue to investigate whether he was involved in further thefts.
