Kurnool I Town police have arrested five individuals in connection with the murder of Shaik Izhar Ahmed, whose body was found on September 1, 2025. The accused were taken into custody after an investigation revealed their involvement in the crime, reportedly motivated by longstanding personal disputes.
During a press briefing, DSP K. Babu Prasad identified the accused as Shaik Irfan Saleem, Shaik Jaheen Ahmed (alias Jahangir), S.M.D. Irfaz, Imran, and Yusuf. All five are residents of various areas within Kurnool city. Authorities have stated that the arrests are part of ongoing efforts to ensure swift justice and prevent further escalation of violence in the region.
The police have registered cases under relevant sections of the law and confirmed that a detailed investigation is underway to uncover the full circumstances of the murder.
