LIVINGSTON, NJ — Two New York men were arrested Thursday in Livingston after breaking into a storage unit at SecureSpace Self Storage at 644 W. Mt. Pleasant Avenue, police said.

CCTV footage captured the suspects entering the facility around 1:03 a.m., prompting a report from security. Livingston police confronted the men during a search of the building. The suspects attempted to flee but were ultimately apprehended and identified as Anas Sherhan, 27, and Younis Sharahan, 37, both from Pelham, New York.

Authorities charged the men with burglary, theft, and resisting arrest. Police said the burglary targeted an unknown number of Pokémon trading cards, collectibles that have been highly popular in the U.S. since 1999. Depending on rarity and condition, individual cards can be worth anywhere from a few cents to thousands of dollars, according to TCGPlayer.

Both Sherhan and Sharahan were held on warrants and transported to the Essex County Correctional Facility.
