CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — A Cedar Rapids man has been sentenced to federal prison for distributing methamphetamine.
Jared Stratton, 46, pleaded guilty in August 2025 to one count of distribution of a controlled substance. Authorities say he sold methamphetamine on multiple occasions between September and October 2024 to an individual working with law enforcement.
On Thursday, Stratton was sentenced to more than six years in federal prison, followed by five years of supervised release.
The case highlights ongoing federal efforts to combat the distribution of methamphetamine and other controlled substances in Iowa.
