CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Two Cedar Rapids men have been charged following a home break-in on Thursday, according to the Cedar Rapids Police Department.
Alex Hilton, 22, is accused of conspiring to burglarize a home and trafficking a stolen handgun. Brandon Graham, 23, is also facing charges related to the incident.
Police say a neighbor witnessed Hilton standing watch while Graham broke through a basement window on the 300 block of Ninth Street Northwest. The alleged victim reported that Graham entered the home and took her handgun while she was out of town.
A search by officers on Saturday found Hilton in possession of the stolen handgun. Hilton was also in violation of a criminal No Contact Order and carrying marijuana at the time.
Graham faces charges including third-degree burglary, trafficking stolen weapons, theft, and criminal mischief. Both men are currently held at the Linn County Jail.
