Juvenile Arrested in Natchitoches Firearm Theft

Suspect Confesses to Stealing Gun

NATCHITOCHES, La. — A juvenile was arrested Friday evening in connection with the theft of a firearm, the Natchitoches Police Department reported.

Police were dispatched around 7:20 p.m. on January 23 to the 200 block of Willow Bend Drive after a gun was reported stolen. The victim provided surveillance footage that identified a juvenile as the suspect.

Officers located and arrested the juvenile, who was read his Miranda Rights at the police department in the presence of his mother. During questioning, the juvenile admitted to committing the theft.

He was charged with theft of a firearm and transported to a juvenile facility in Jackson Parish for further processing.
