Three Charged in Walmart Larceny Case in Wilton

Sheriff’s Office arrests trio after late-night complaint

WILTON, N.Y. — Three people are facing larceny and conspiracy charges following a reported theft at a Walmart in Wilton on Friday night, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to the complaint shortly before 11 p.m., leading to the arrests of Monajah L. Golston, 19, of Troy; Shangali N. Thompson, 22, of Albany; and Lyric N. Jones, 22, of Albany.

Authorities said Golston and Thompson were each charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, a class E felony, and sixth-degree conspiracy, a class B misdemeanor. Investigators allege both stole merchandise valued at more than $1,000 and agreed with others to commit the crime.

Jones was charged with petit larceny, a class A misdemeanor, and sixth-degree conspiracy. She is accused of stealing merchandise and participating in the agreement to commit the theft.

All three suspects were released on appearance tickets and are scheduled to appear in Wilton Town Court at a later date.
