Pune police have arrested Dhananjay Harish Kale (29) in connection with multiple jewellery thefts after receiving a tip-off about his arrival in the Nigdi Pradhikaran area to sell stolen items. His swift apprehension came as part of ongoing efforts to crack down on organised theft in the region.
Kale’s associates, Chandrakant Ananta Mane and Sunil Malhari Talware, remain at large, and police are actively searching for them.
Investigations reveal that the trio has been involved in numerous thefts under the Sangvi and Nigdi police station limits and is linked to 50–60 cases across Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad, and several districts in Maharashtra. Authorities are continuing their probe to recover stolen property and prevent further crimes.
