LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) – Laredo police have arrested 39-year-old Nelson Estevez for allegedly breaking into a work vehicle and stealing multiple packages.
The incident occurred on the 100 block of Frost Street. According to the victim, security cameras captured a man opening his van and removing items. The stolen packages, all company property, were valued at over $1,100.
Police reviewed the surveillance footage and located Estevez near Lyon Street and Tilden Avenue. Initially, he denied any involvement, but after being shown the video, Estevez admitted to hiding the stolen items.
Authorities recovered the packages and returned them to the victim. Estevez now faces charges of vehicle burglary and theft.
