LAREDO, Tex. — Esmeralda Ramos, 43, was arrested on December 20 after allegedly committing a vehicle burglary at a gas station on the 1200 block of E. Saunders Street, according to Laredo Police.

Officers responded around 10:58 p.m. after a caller reported seeing Ramos sitting in the back seat of her Ford Explorer without permission. Surveillance footage showed Ramos approaching the vehicle multiple times, opening and closing the door on three occasions before entering the store and buying a bag of ice, then reentering the back seat.

Ramos had also been asked to leave another nearby establishment earlier that night for causing a disturbance, and officers noted signs of intoxication.

She was booked on burglary of a vehicle and criminal trespass charges and transported to the Webb County Jail.
