Tanner Couch Arrested in Laurel County Gas Station Robbery

24-year-old faces first-degree robbery charges

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Deputies have arrested Tanner Couch, 24, of London, in connection with an armed robbery at a Laurel County gas station on December 23, 2025.

Authorities reported that Couch allegedly entered the Marathon Superstation on Barbourville Road armed with a pistol and stole an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing on foot.

Couch was taken into custody without incident and is charged with first-degree robbery. He is currently being held at the Laurel County Detention Center pending further court proceedings.

Law enforcement continues to investigate the incident and encourages anyone with additional information to contact the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office.
