Gavens Simeus Arrested for Vehicle Burglary in Palm Beach

Suspect faces felony charge for unoccupied vehicle entry

by Sophia Bennett

PALM BEACH, FL — Deputies with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office arrested Gavens Simeus early Saturday morning on suspicion of burglary, according to a police report released shortly after midnight.

Simeus, a Black male, faces a felony charge for burglary of an unoccupied conveyance while unarmed. The arrest is documented under report number 216503 and filed by PBSO (agency 01).

Authorities have not released further details about the location of the alleged incident, the type of vehicle involved, or whether any property was reported stolen.

Under Florida law, entering an unoccupied vehicle without authorization with intent to commit theft or another felony constitutes burglary, a serious felony offense regardless of whether the suspect was armed.

As of the report’s publication, information on bond, court dates, or additional proceedings was unavailable. Law enforcement emphasized that an arrest is not a conviction, and Simeus is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.

The Boca Raton Tribune will continue following this case and provide updates as more details are made available through law enforcement and court records.
