FALMOUTH, Maine — Police have charged a Portland man in connection with an armed robbery at the Falmouth Walmart earlier this month.
Authorities say a masked suspect entered the store on November 14, displayed a handgun, and demanded money from a cash register. Employees turned over the cash, after which the suspect fled the store and drove away from the area.
No injuries were reported during the incident.
After completing their investigation, police charged Brian Gallerani, 40, of Portland, on Thursday with robbery, theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, and criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon.
Police also confirmed Gallerani was already being held at the York County Jail on an unrelated probation violation at the time the charges were filed.
