RANDOLPH COUNTY, N.C. — A 22-year-old man has been charged with multiple felony sex offenses involving a minor, according to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said Taijuan Jadell Matthews faces charges of felony indecent liberties with a child and felony statutory rape of a child 15 years or younger. The charges stem from a reported incident on Dec. 27, 2025, which prompted an investigation by the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division.
A magistrate issued a warrant for Matthews’ arrest after finding probable cause. He was located and arrested on Jan. 7, 2026, and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center. Matthews was held without bond, and his first court appearance was scheduled for the same day in Randolph County District Court.
