GREENVILLE, N.C. — A 24-year-old Greenville man was arrested on New Year’s Eve in connection with a reported vehicle break-in and theft, according to arrest warrants.
Greenville police arrested Almar Campbell on Dec. 31, charging him with felony breaking and entering a motor vehicle with theft, along with resisting a public officer.
According to warrants, Campbell is accused of unlawfully breaking into a Chevrolet Trailblazer that contained items of value. Investigators say he stole a backpack holding a Nintendo Switch, charging cords, and property belonging to the victim’s employer. The total value of the stolen items was estimated at approximately $700.
Campbell also faces a charge of resisting, delaying, or obstructing a public officer. Warrants allege he refused to disclose the location of the stolen property during the investigation.
Records show Campbell was on pretrial release for a prior charge of secret peeping stemming from a September 2025 case at the time of his arrest. He is currently being held at the Pitt County Detention Center without bond and is scheduled to make his first court appearance on Jan. 2, 2026.
