Two suspects have been arrested in connection with a shooting that left one man dead and a woman injured outside a business in Stockton earlier this month, authorities said.
The Stockton Police Department responded to reports of gunfire at around 1:22 a.m. on Dec. 14 in the 300 block of South Wilson Way. Officers arriving at the scene found a 24-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman suffering from gunshot wounds in a parking lot.
Both victims were transported to local hospitals. Police said the woman sustained non-life-threatening injuries, while the man later died as a result of his wounds.
Homicide detectives took over the investigation and continued to pursue leads in the days following the shooting. On Dec. 18, investigators arrested Swavette Wilson, 48, in Stockton. She was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail on homicide-related charges.
Detectives later identified a second suspect, Devon Hardy, 47. Hardy was taken into custody by the San Leandro Police Department and extradited to Stockton,
