COFFEE COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) — Eight individuals were arrested in a focused patrol operation targeting criminal activity in the Green Acres community of Coffee County. The initiative was a joint effort between the Douglas-Coffee Drug Unit and the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division (CID).
The operation was launched in response to community concerns over rising crime, and Sheriff Fred Cole emphasized that local law enforcement remains committed to restoring safety.
“The citizens of the Green Acres community asked us to take great measures to reduce crime and unwanted activity in their neighborhood, and that’s what we have done and will continue to do,” said Sheriff Cole.
Arrested individuals and charges include:
Luis Santos – Probation violation (original DUI case)
Melissa Harper – Contempt of court
Christy Rollison – Contempt of court
Johnny Nelson – Probation violation related to a previous drug possession conviction
