In a significant breakthrough, the Zirakpur Police have arrested seven suspects involved in a gunpoint robbery at a jeweller’s shop in Bhabat, Zirakpur. The robbery took place on Wednesday afternoon, when four armed youths stole Rs 80,000 in cash and silver ornaments from Sorav Kumar, the owner of “Guddu di Hatti” in Shiva Enclave, Victoria City.

Germanjit Singh (Lakhimpur Kheri, UP)
Rishabh (Fatehabad)
Paramveer Singh (Adampur)
Shamsher Singh alias Shera (Sirsa)
Gagandeep Singh (Mohali)
Karanvir Singh (Ajnala)
The Zirakpur Police have successfully recovered the stolen silver ornaments, a pistol with a round, and two motorcycles used in the robbery. The suspects were presented in court and remanded for three days for further investigation.
According to the police, Paramveer, Shamsher, Gagandeep, and Karanvir were employed as delivery boys for a quick-commerce service firm. They meticulously planned and carried out the robbery, while the other three suspects were involved in the conspiracy. Paramveer Singh is also reported to have a pending rioting case.
Zirakpur SHO Jaskanwal Singh Shekhon stated, “The suspects will undergo a dope test tomorrow. Two of them were injured during their attempt to escape when the police closed in on them.”
The police have made significant progress in cracking the case and are continuing with their investigation to gather further details and connections related to the crime.
