Ten days after an armed gang looted gold and silver ornaments worth over Rs2 crore from Narayan Jewellers in Harichandanpur, Odisha, police have arrested six suspects linked to the robbery.
The daylight robbery, which took place around 6:45 PM on June 25, involved masked assailants arriving on motorcycles. Armed with guns and sharp weapons, they stormed into the jewellery store, threatened staff, fired shots, and assaulted the shop owner before fleeing with the loot.
Following the crime, Keonjhar Superintendent of Police led an intensive operation, deploying multiple police teams and forming a special task force to track down the gang.
During a press conference, SDPO Vijay Kumar Mahapatra and Inspector-in-Charge Debaki Nayak confirmed the arrest of six suspects and the recovery of looted items including gold, silver ornaments, three mobile phones, and three motorcycles.

Jagu Patra
Ajit Pattnayak (all from Kendrapara district)
Jagannath Ghadei (Cuttack)
Indramani Mohant (Jajpur)
Buddhadev Mohant (Bailbeda village, Harichandanpur)
Three of the accused had been arrested earlier; the remaining were nabbed recently. All six have now been produced in court.
Police are continuing investigations to determine if more people were involved in the heist.
