The Gurugram police crime branch arrested six accused, including two women, for robbing a man under the pretext of providing a call girl, officials said on Sunday.
The victim, a Delhi resident, had booked a room in a hotel in Chakarpur, Gurugram. On Saturday night, he contacted a WhatsApp number offering call girl services. Soon, a car arrived near the hotel, and when the victim got inside, the suspects demanded money. On refusal, they assaulted him, seized his mobile phone, and transferred Rs59,500 online before fleeing.
The accused include Muskan from Uttarakhand, Lalita from Uttar Pradesh, and four men — Saurabh Arora, Pradeep Meena, Sonu Chaudhary, and Jaiprakash Sharma — all residents of Rajasthan. Police recovered a car and a knife used in the crime. Pradeep has prior robbery charges in Gurugram.
The accused will be produced in court and remanded for further questioning and recovery. The investigation is ongoing.
