A 52-year-old defendant, identified as Soleiman, was arrested after multiple thefts at the Ulta store located at 10001 W. Flagler St. The incidents began on May 31, when surveillance footage captured Soleiman selecting nearly $600 in merchandise, concealing the items, and leaving without paying.
On June 1, Soleiman returned to the same store and stole approximately $590 worth of products, including cosmetics and perfumes. The following day, he again stole around $700 worth of merchandise, which he concealed in a black bag, according to police reports.
Detectives identified Soleiman through a photo lineup on June 11. He was arrested at his residence on Friday and provided both verbal and written statements to authorities.
During a bail hearing, a prosecutor revealed Soleiman admitted to selling the stolen goods via social media platforms. The judge set bail at $25,000 and prohibited him from entering any Ulta store.
By Monday morning, Soleiman was no longer listed in the public detention center database.
