In a confrontation on January 6 in Ahmedabad’s Anandnagar area, four individuals were arrested after obstructing police officers conducting a routine patrol. The accused—Abhishek Kumar Pawan Kumar (24), Arjun Kumar Pawan Kumar (21), Sandeep Bukhram Sen (30), and Sunil Kumar Amilal Yadav (35)—were identified as residents of Vejalpur and natives of Haryana.

The incident occurred around 5.30 pm near Makarba Gate when the four men tailgated the police vehicle, overtaking it aggressively and blocking its path. ASI Premila Ramji, who was conducting the patrol with two women constables, filed a formal complaint, detailing how the accused verbally harassed the officers with insults. The altercation escalated when the accused parked their car horizontally to obstruct the police vehicle.

Additional police personnel were called to the scene, and the four individuals were detained. A case has been registered under sections of the Indian Penal Code related to obstructing public servants in the discharge of their duties. Authorities are investigating further to determine whether the suspects have any prior criminal connections.
