The Madhya Pradesh Police on Monday arrested 32 individuals in Bhopal for their involvement in an inter-state theft gang responsible for crimes across Mumbai, Rajasthan, and southern India. The operation, coordinated after reports from multiple states, was confirmed by Bhopal Police Commissioner Harinarayanchari Mishra.
During the raid in the Nishatpura area, the gang attempted to resist arrest and create unrest, but the police successfully apprehended the accused. Investigators recovered over a dozen mobile phones, two-wheelers, and other electronic equipment from the gang members.
The mastermind of the network, Raju Irani, was also identified. He has a record of multiple criminal cases across Bhopal and other states. Authorities are interrogating the arrested individuals to identify other members of the network operating in different regions, and information will be shared with law enforcement in other states for further action.
