LOGANVILLE, Ga. — Three men are in custody after an attempted auto theft at Awah Auto on Highway 20 in Loganville on August 16, according to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO).

Deputies say the trio attempted to steal a Dodge Charger in what appeared to be a coordinated effort.

Grant Gibson, the alleged getaway driver, was arrested after crashing into a patrol car during his failed escape. Jermai Townsend fled the scene but was tracked and captured by K9 Vader while hiding in a truck. The third suspect, Moosa Nisar, was arrested shortly after by WCSO investigators.

Authorities say they recovered burglary tools and other items pointing to an organized theft operation.

All three men are facing multiple felony charges related to the attempted theft and property damage.
