On May 9, police in Balussery arrested 28-year-old Akshay Dev in connection with the death of his father, N.P. Devadasan, who passed away on May 6. The incident unfolded after it was discovered that the father, aged 61, had suffered fatal injuries during an alleged assault by his son on May 3.
Following a thorough investigation, authorities determined that Devadasan died from severe internal injuries caused by the assault. A post-mortem examination confirmed that his ribs were fractured and his kidneys sustained significant damage, leading to his untimely death.
