The Sri Sathya Sai district police have successfully solved a 26-year-old murder case involving the death of a six-month-old baby. On Monday, November 25, authorities apprehended Golla Tippeswamy, a 55-year-old farmer, who was accused of murdering his infant son over suspicions regarding the child’s paternity.
The case, which had remained unsolved for more than two decades, came to light again through the tireless efforts of the Madakasira police. Superintendent of Police V. Ratna commended the police team for their diligence in resolving this long-pending case.
According to the police, Tippeswamy allegedly killed his six-month-old son in 1997 due to doubts about the child’s parentage. The arrest followed a detailed investigation that brought new insights into the tragic case.
This development marks a significant moment for the Sri Sathya Sai district police, bringing closure to a case that had haunted the community for over a quarter of a century.
