18-Year-Old Arrested for Break-ins at 7 Shops in Thirumullaivoyal

Police catch Chaitanya after multiple shop break-ins, Rs 29,000 stolen.

In a series of break-ins that occurred in Thirumullaivoyal, police arrested 18-year-old Chaitanya for looting multiple shops, including a hotel. The incidents took place over a single night, with Chaitanya breaking into seven establishments, including one owned by N. Parthasarathy, a hotelier on Thiruverkadu Main Road in Ayapakkam.

Parthasarathy reported to the police that the locks on his hotel were forcibly opened, and Rs 29,000 was stolen from a drawer. Additionally, six other shops in the area were also targeted, and various items were reported missing.

The police quickly launched an investigation, gathering forensic evidence from the crime scenes, including fingerprints and CCTV footage. This led to the arrest of Chaitanya, a resident of Villivakkam. Authorities are now actively searching for another suspect believed to be involved in the thefts.

The police have confirmed that Chaitanya is the main suspect in the series of break-ins and are continuing their investigation to track down the accomplice.
