KERRVILLE, Texas — Eighteen people have been arrested following a months-long undercover operation targeting individuals accused of sex crimes against minors.
The Kerr County Sheriff’s Office led the investigation, during which undercover officers engaged online with several individuals who believed they were communicating with children.
The operation resulted in the arrests of 18 suspects from Kerrville and nearby areas, including Jeremy Joe Lortie, Rodrigo Mejia Martinez, Alvaro Huerta, and others. The full list of arrested individuals includes residents from Kerrville, Mountain Home, Ingram, Fredericksburg, Fair Oaks Ranch, and Center Point.
All suspects are currently held in jail with bonds ranging from $20,000 to over $200,000, pending further legal proceedings.
Authorities continue to urge community vigilance and stress the importance of protecting children from exploitation.
