A 15-year-old boy has become the fourth person arrested and charged with three counts of homicide following a deadly mass shooting at Young Park in Las Cruces, New Mexico, on Friday night. The shooting claimed the lives of three victims and left 15 others injured.

The victims have been identified as 16-year-old Andrew Madrid, 18-year-old Jason Gomez, and 19-year-old Dominick Estrada. Madrid and Gomez died at the scene, while Estrada passed away after being taken to the hospital. The injured victims, whose ages range from 16 to 36, include nine males and six females. Authorities have not released their identities to protect their privacy, and their medical conditions have not been disclosed.

The shooting occurred around 10 p.m. during an unsanctioned car show, with an altercation between two groups of people escalating into gunfire. Las Cruces Police Chief Jeremy Story confirmed the details of the investigation, stating that the situation quickly turned violent.

Tomas Rivas, 20, and a 17-year-old boy were arrested on Saturday evening, followed by the 15-year-old suspect who was arrested on Monday. A third 17-year-old was taken into custody on Sunday morning. The suspects are facing additional charges, and their cases are under investigation.

Rivas is being held without bond at the Doña Ana County Detention Center, while the juvenile suspect is in a juvenile detention facility.

“This tragedy reminds us that it’s going to take all of us to continue to come together to address these senseless acts of violence,” said Democratic House Speaker Javier Martinez of Albuquerque. The ongoing investigation continues as authorities work to gather more information regarding the incident.
