Patna police seized approximately 13 kilograms of marijuana from a CNG autorickshaw near the six-lane bridge under the Nadi police station area on Tuesday.
Acting on a tip-off, a police team intercepted the vehicle while the contraband was being transported from Rustampur in Vaishali to Gandhi Maidan in Patna.
Three persons were arrested in connection with the case:
Nepal Kumar – Bahrampur village
Sonu Kumar – Bahrampur village
Dinesh Kumar – Mohanpur Naya Tola
During the operation, police also seized two cellphones, Rs 1,300 in cash, and the autorickshaw used to transport the marijuana. Authorities are continuing investigations to determine if others were involved in the trafficking network.
