OTTER TAIL COUNTY, Minn. – Two men from Litchfield, Minnesota, were arrested after deputies discovered over 2 pounds of cocaine hidden inside their car during a traffic stop.
On September 6 around 11:44 a.m., the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office received a report about a red Cadillac swerving erratically on I-94. A deputy located the car and pulled it over after observing it weaving and crossing lane lines.
The driver, identified as Zachary Oslund, and the passenger, Anthony Guerrero, both showed signs of impairment. Oslund appeared dazed, while Guerrero had bloodshot eyes, rapid speech, and was overly animated.
Inside the vehicle, deputies noticed a suspicious backpack and a plastic baggie in the back seat. Guerrero initially claimed the bag had contained marijuana, later changing his story multiple times, and eventually mentioned cocaine.
While searching the car, the deputy found a rolled-up dollar bill with white powder, and a heat-sealed kilogram brick of cocaine hidden inside a seat panel. The substance tested positive for cocaine and weighed approximately 2.386 pounds.
Oslund admitted to knowing the cocaine was in the vehicle. Guerrero denied involvement and claimed the drugs might belong to a cousin.
Both men were arrested and taken to Otter Tail County Jail, where they face felony charges for drug possession and drug sales.
