Yvette Giovanni Charged for Animal Neglect at Halfmoon Facility

Owner of A Time Four Paws accused of failing to care for pets

by Amelia Crawford

HALFMOON, NY – Yvette M. Giovanni, 57, was arrested on Tuesday, July 8 by the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office after a search at her pet care business, A Time Four Paws, in the town of Halfmoon uncovered evidence of animal neglect.

Giovanni faces two counts of failure to provide sustenance, both Class A misdemeanors. Authorities allege that cats and dogs at the facility were not provided with adequate care. She was released with an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Halfmoon Town Court at a later date.

The arrest followed a lengthy investigation into the conditions at the pet boarding and daycare center. A search warrant was executed earlier this week, and officials found multiple animals in concerning conditions.

All animals on-site were assessed by the Saratoga County Animal Shelter, and arrangements were made to secure their well-being moving forward, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

The case remains under investigation.
