A 32-year-old Yucca Valley resident, Anthony Canada, was arrested on March 9, 2025, after repeatedly calling sheriff’s dispatch to challenge deputies to a fight, according to the Morongo Basin Sheriff’s Department.

Around 9:19 p.m., Canada called 911, using profanities and demanding a confrontation with law enforcement.
While deputies were handling an unrelated call at Walmart on Twentynine Palms Highway, Canada allegedly sped past the scene, prompting a traffic stop.
He was then taken into custody and booked into the Morongo jail.
Ongoing Investigations
Authorities state that Canada is well known to law enforcement for previous threats and frequent calls to dispatch. Several investigations remain open involving him.
