PROSPER, Texas — Two suspects, Miles Edward Richards and Yu Jun Cheng, were arrested on charges of aggravated promotion of prostitution following a lengthy investigation into a massage business suspected of operating as a front for prostitution.
The Prosper Police Department conducted a multi-agency operation targeting Nami Massage Spa, located in the 200 block of South Preston Road. Multiple search and arrest warrants were executed as part of the coordinated investigation.
Richards and Cheng, both residents of Melissa, Texas, were taken into custody and booked into the Collin County Detention Center. Authorities confirmed that no crimes against minors were uncovered during the investigation.
This operation involved collaboration with numerous agencies, including the Prosper Fire Department, Texas Department of Public Safety, Melissa Police Department, Richardson Police Department, Plano Police Department, U.S. Homeland Security Investigations (HSI/HTTF), and the Internal Revenue Service.
Prosper Police Chief Doug Kowalski praised the joint effort, stating, “The success of this operation reflects the strength of our partnerships and our shared commitment to protecting the Prosper community.”
He added, “We will continue to pursue those who attempt to exploit or endanger others under the guise of legitimate business operations in the Town of Prosper.”
The investigation remains active, and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
