A 55-year-old medical representative named Yogesh, from Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, has been arrested for stealing hospital equipment worth several lakhs from hospitals in Delhi and Ghaziabad. According to the police, Yogesh, who worked as a medical representative, had been pilfering medical devices and equipment from various healthcare facilities.
After stealing the valuable items, Yogesh reportedly sold them online at significantly reduced prices, targeting unsuspecting buyers looking for affordable medical equipment. His activities raised suspicions, and after an investigation, the police were able to track him down.
Yogesh’s arrest has shed light on a disturbing trend of stolen medical goods being sold through unregulated online channels, which not only compromises hospital operations but also puts patients’ safety at risk. Further investigations are underway as the authorities continue to probe the source of the stolen equipment and any potential accomplices involved in the scam.
