ADAMS COUNTY, Miss. (WLBT) – Two individuals have been arrested following an armed carjacking incident that occurred late Saturday night in Adams County.
Deputies responded to a report of a stolen vehicle at 11:35 p.m. on July 5 at a residence on Lower Woodville Road. The victim reported being threatened at gunpoint while driving a 2002 Dodge truck south on Highway 61.
According to authorities, the suspects—identified as Yasmine Lyles and Jordan Butler—were in a black 2015 Nissan Altima when they approached the victim. Butler allegedly pointed a firearm and made verbal threats. After the victim fled to a nearby home for safety, one of the suspects reportedly stole the victim’s truck and drove off.
Deputies later located the Altima at a home on Lotus Drive in the Lagrange subdivision. Both Lyles and Butler were taken into custody without incident. The stolen truck was recovered on Beau Pre Road.

Armed Carjacking / Attempted Carjacking
Simple Assault – Attempt by Physical Menace
The Adams County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the case remains under investigation.
