CARLISLE, Pa. — Two women have been convicted for their roles in a human trafficking and prostitution ring operating through massage parlors in Cumberland County.

Yan Qui, 49, and Zigui Zheng, 48, were found guilty last Friday of charges including corrupt organizations, promoting prostitution, trafficking individuals, and other related offenses, according to court records.

The pair were among those arrested in September 2023 as part of Operation Closed2Trafficking, a multi-agency investigation targeting human trafficking at massage parlors across Pennsylvania.

One of the businesses at the center of the investigation was New Healing Hands Spa in Cumberland County. Authorities also probed four additional massage parlors in Cumberland County, along with related locations in Dauphin and York counties.

Investigators discovered that the New Healing Hands Spa had been listed on a website known for reviewing erotic massage parlors. Witnesses confirmed receiving sexual services in exchange for money.

Police uncovered online ads promoting sexual acts by “escorts” employed at the spa, and physical evidence was retrieved from trash containers and on-site photographs.

Qui and Zheng are scheduled to be sentenced on August 19, court documents show.
