Bengaluru, Karnataka – In a shocking incident, a pharma student, identified as Yamini Priya, was found murdered near railway tracks behind a shopping mall in Malleshwaram, Bengaluru on Thursday. Her throat had been slit, leading to her death on the spot.
According to police reports, Yamini left home at around 7 a.m. to attend an examination. On her way back, she allegedly encountered Vignesh, who is suspected to be her jilted lover and had been stalking her on a two-wheeler.
Investigators believe that Vignesh attacked Yamini after she rejected his romantic advances. He allegedly stalked her and, in a fit of rage, slit her throat before fleeing the scene.
Her body was discovered near the railway tracks, prompting the Srirampura police to rush to the spot and begin a thorough investigation. A manhunt is currently underway to trace Vignesh, who remains absconding.
Police suspect a crime of passion, and further investigation is ongoing to uncover the full details of the murder.
