GREENVILLE, N.C. — A Greenville woman has been charged with larceny by employee after allegedly stealing more than $25,000 worth of lottery tickets from her workplace.

Yagbe Caranda, 22, was arrested by the Greenville Police Department on Sunday, May 18. According to online records, Caranda is accused of unlawfully taking and misusing $25,021 worth of lottery tickets from Pirates Pittstop, a local convenience store where she was employed.

Caranda is scheduled to make her first court appearance on Monday, May 19.
