A 40-year-old woman, Lucy Grace Nelson, was arrested after authorities discovered explosives at a Tesla dealership in Loveland, Colorado. Nelson faces charges related to the use of explosives, felony criminal mischief, and attempting to commit felonies, according to the Loveland Police Department.
The investigation began on January 29 after several vandalism incidents at the dealership, with authorities discovering incendiary devices at the scene. The acts of vandalism continued on February 2 and February 7, each time escalating in severity.
Loveland Police Department Public Information Officer Chris Padgett told Fox News Digital that the dealership was targeted with offensive and derogatory messages prior to Nelson’s arrest. Surveillance efforts led to Nelson being spotted on the night of her arrest with additional incendiary devices and vandalism materials.
Nelson was arrested without incident and taken into custody. She was later issued a $10,000 cash surety bond after being booked into jail.
This is the latest in a string of apparent protests linked to Tesla CEO Elon Musk, raising concerns over growing tensions surrounding the company.
