Abdul Ghafoor Haji, aged 55, near the Farookhiya mosque in Poochakkad, Kasaragod, Kerala. The suspects, including a woman accused of practising witchcraft, are believed to be involved in a murder that is linked to the theft of 596 souvereigns of jewellery.

The arrested individuals include Ubaid (38) of Melparamba, his wife Shamima (38), who is reportedly known as a “Manthravadini” (a practitioner of witchcraft), along with Asneefah (34) and Aisha (40), both of Vidyanagar.
