In a dramatic twist in the Bengaluru road rage incident, Wing Commander Shiladitya Bose of the Indian Air Force has been booked for attempt to murder after CCTV footage surfaced contradicting his earlier version of events.

The confrontation, which took place early Monday morning (April 22) near Tin Factory junction, involved Bose and a biker named Vikas Kumar, a call centre employee. At the time, Bose was traveling with his wife to the airport.

Initially, Bose alleged that the biker was at fault. However, footage reviewed by authorities revealed Bose physically assaulting the biker, challenging his claim and leading to a formal FIR registered by the Byappanahalli Police.

According to reports, Bose is currently in Kolkata and will be summoned for questioning.

The FIR lists multiple serious charges under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS):

Section 115(2): Attempt to commit an offence punishable with death or life imprisonment

Section 304: Culpable homicide not amounting to murder

Section 324: Voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means

Section 352: Assault or criminal force otherwise than on grave provocation

Meanwhile, in an unrelated incident, two carjackers were arrested after an ASI tried to stop a stolen Fortuner in Raipur Rani, Panchkula. A home guard used a vehicle to block the suspects’ Scorpio, leading to the capture of Rakesh and Manoj, though two others escaped due to heavy fog.

Rakesh was found in possession of a country-made pistol and confessed to stealing the Fortuner. A case has been registered under sections 3(5), 109(1), 132, 281 of BNS, and Section 25(1-A) of the Arms Act. Investigations are ongoing.
